Access To Cabins

WINTER ACCESS:

Access to the cabins during the winter months is from the Parking Area at the top of Kootenay Pass. Users of the cabins are asked to please use the parking area to the east of Bridal Lake when possible. The trail to Ripple Ridge Rec Site is on the south side of Highway #3 directly across from the public restrooms. Distance to the cabins is approximately 3.2 kms. Stagleap Provincial Park is a non-motorized recreational area.

SUMMER ACCESS:

Stagleap Provincial Park does not allow motor vehicles. There is a gate near the highway! Access to the cabins during the summer months is either by hiking in  through Stagleap Provincial Park or by driving in via the Maryland FSR. Located approximately 28 kms from the junction of Highways 3 & 3A in Creston or about 15 kms from the summit of Kootenay Pass on the south side of Highway #3 across from Jordan's Cabin.  The Ripple Ridge Rec Site is about 27 kms from the start of Maryland FSR. Small cars with low ground clearance are not recommended on this road. Due to the high elevation, summer access will be limited by snow. Road is usually clear of snow by early July until beginning of October.
